This page lists ‘Help Wanted’ ads in which a student with appropriate analysis and presentation skills can gain experience as a consultant and data analyst, and can be paid. In the spring semester and summer of 2020, we expect to need help with the following:

  1. analyses of characteristics of jobs run on the teton system in ARCC, including an accounting of interactive versus batch jobs, hardware requirements of jobs (MPI/GPU/single core), wall time, and the distribution of these job attributes across project and user accounts.

  2. analyses related to performance data of the Department of Botany, including historical enrollments, grant funding, and other metrics.

I am putting this here as a point of information. As the scope-of-work of these projects takes shape (we will use the attached UW form), Alex Buerkle will add details. If you are interested in this, please let Alex knowPlease use this page to post data science tasks that you would like help with, from colleagues and other participants in the Data Science Center. This can be anything. Examples include: 1) feedback on a resume for a data science job, 2) code review and debugging, 3) someone to assist with the first time setting up a distributed computing job, etc.
