The app works on a phone--using Adobe Aero we can visualize these microbes. We need to finish making files for each of the microbes, and find a way to spread the news about it.
Is currently working on the adroid. Rebecca Austin is currently polishing the android app, and will then begin making it functional in iOS.
An end goal with this project will be to implement it in the Micro Museum as a “beast hunt” that can be done throughout the museum, similar to the “animal passports” that are handed out in zoos. Viewers will be able to scan plaques put up around the exhibit with the phone app, see the 3D microbe, and also take AR cards home with them so that they can see the microbes whenever. It will also hopefully encourage viewers to walk through the entirety of the exhibit.
