Online talks by Dr. Bella Oleksy and Dr. Lauren Koenig

Check out 10 minute talks by two of our consortium members: Dr. Bella Oleksy and Dr. Lauren Koenig. They both gave highly informative and clear online talks at the virtual summit in “Incorporating Data Science and Open Science in Aquatic Research”. The results are very encouraging and both talks are inspiring!

Dr. Bella Olesky describes how she is applying sparse modeling methods to build interpretable and predictive models of total phosphorus in aquatic ecosystems.

Dr. Lauren Koenig describes how she is confronting hierarchical Bayesian models that formalize processes with aquatic ecosystem data, and the role of using simulated data with known parameters to study model performance.
