Board Game
The Microbestiary is interested in developing a board game that emphasizes microbial diversity. Games similar to what we are interested in developing are:
Bios: Genesis

Description:
Players play as organic compounds and compete against each other and the environment.
The concept is similar to what we might be interested in for the bestiary game, however, the game is frequently described as complex and very scientific in nature, fairly inaccessible to those that aren’t into heavy science games. While this isn’t necessarily a con, we would want a game that was more generally accessible.
Bios: Megafauna

Description:
With a similar structure to Bios: Genesis, and made by the same people, Bios: Megafauna, players in this game focus on intense competition and environmental changes by starting new species and mutating them throughout the course of the game. This game is generally seen as more accessible, and Erin has access to someone who both has the game and is willing to teach/play it within the next few weeks.
Update: Really cool game, very complex. Would be pretty hard to design but we might be able to make a similar style game that is a bit less complex. It would be good to keep the two scales of interaction--with each other and with the environment.
